Fly Tying – 3rd Tuesday, each month at Chapman’s Mill @ 7:30PM (Chapman’s Mill 2086 Crooks Road Rochester Hills, MI 48309) All materials will be provided, tying equipment is available for use. Summer months may be fishing outings instead of tying. Check schedule below for updates. BRING A FEW BUCKS ($$$) FOR THE 50/50 DRAWING! THIS PAYS FOR THE TYING MATERIALS.

November 15, 2011 (Tuesday) - FLIES FOR FISHING PAINT CREEK! We'll be tying a nymph (TBD-pattern to follow). We are tying at Chapman's Mill, directions above, starting at 7:30PM.
October 18, 2011 (Tuesday) - FLY TYING IS BACK! We'll be tying the Sulphur Parachute. (Check it out by clicking on the name.) Again this year we will be tying at Chapman's Mill, directions above, starting at 7:30PM.
September 20, 2011 - Fly Fishing (fly tying will begin again in October) in Rochester on Paint Creek behind the Rochester Library, southeast corner of parking lot. We'll meeting at 7:00PM (or earlier, if you feel so inclined). Follow the same protocols as above for the August fly fishing evening on Paint Creek. Keep in mind, Dave Watson caught (and released) a 22" brown trout at the August event. Don't be late.
August 16, 2011 - After canceling the July fly fishing night (see above), let's try to fish Paint Creek in August. We are going to fish Paint Creek at Silver Bell Road. There is a small parking lot just west of Orion Road. We'll start about 7:00PM. If you are late we will probably be in the stream north of Silver Bell. If you are really late, just join us at the Paint creek Tavern and we'll tell you what you missed. Bring bead head nymphs, woolly buggers and terrestrials. Also bring bug spray - the mosquitos are out with a vengeance. Beers at Paint Creek Tavern afterwards.
